Experience a Class
The best way to decide whether Practical Method is right for you is to experience it.
Your first class is complimentary — come along, try the training and decide afterwards whether you want to continue.
What happens in your first class?
You don't need to know any Taiji, forms or terminology before coming.
We'll introduce you to some of the basic movement rules and foundational exercises used in Practical Method. Depending on the class, you may also see or practise parts of the Yilu form and simple partner exercises.
The aim of your first class isn't to keep up with everyone else. It's to experience how the method is taught and decide whether this kind of training interests you.
Do I need previous experience?
No.
Beginners are welcome, and previous Taiji or martial-arts experience isn't required.
If you already practise another martial art or another style of Taiji, you're equally welcome to come with questions.
Do I need to join afterwards?
No. Your first class is complimentary and there is no obligation to enrol.
Come once, experience the training, ask questions and decide afterwards whether you would like to continue.
