You should not rely on information on this website as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your individual circumstances. Always seek advice from a qualified health professional if you have any concerns about your health or ability to participate in physical activity.

2) Health, fitness and wellbeing statements

Taijiquan is a physical activity and may involve exertion, balance challenges, partner work and/or weapons training (where offered). Any references on this website to benefits such as “fitness”, “mobility”, “stress reduction”, “wellbeing”, “rehabilitation”, “pain relief”, or similar outcomes are general in nature and do not guarantee that you will achieve particular results. Individual outcomes vary depending on many factors, including your health, fitness, consistency of training, and any pre-existing conditions.

3) Assumption of risk

Participation in Taijiquan training carries inherent risks, including (without limitation) muscle soreness, strains, sprains, aggravation of existing injuries, falls, impact injuries in partner drills, and other physical injury. By attending classes, workshops, private lessons, demonstrations, or any training activities arranged by us (including online sessions), you acknowledge and accept these risks. You agree to take responsibility for your own safety and wellbeing, including training within your personal limits, following instructions, using equipment safely, and advising us of any relevant medical conditions or injuries.

4) Medical readiness and responsibility

You should not participate in training if you are unwell, injured, or if physical activity is not recommended for you. If you have a medical condition (including cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, balance or vestibular conditions), are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, or take medication that may affect exercise tolerance or balance, you should consult a qualified health professional before participating. If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or discomfort during training, you should stop immediately and seek appropriate medical advice.
